Prior to founding Farnsworth & Associates in 2002, Jennifer worked in smaller, local accounting firms to obtain the necessary skills required for owning and running her own firm. From this experience, she learned where her true strengths were: taxes, planning, consulting, compilations, and reviews. All while maintaining her true passion for building relationships with her clients. In her office, Jennifer enjoys working with a wide spectrum of clients, running from individuals, mom-and-pop companies, and even larger partnerships.

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a Writing minor from the Stephen F. Austin State University. Upon graduation, she immediately enrolled in the Master of Accountancy program at the University of West Florida. In 1996, she earned her Certified Public Accounting license in Florida and was granted reciprocity to hold a Colorado license when she moved to this state.  

In her office, Jennifer prefers a more relaxed atmosphere. As she has said before, “My brain works the same no matter what I wear. In fact, it may run better if I’m more comfortable”. When you come in to visit her, you may be lucky enough to meet her dog, Keely, as she sometimes accompanies her to the office. Jennifer’s warm, welcoming environment will allow you to feel more comfortable as you discuss the business at hand.

Outside of work, Jennifer has many passions. She volunteers as a docent at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and is an avid follower of local sports (especially the CC Tiger Hockey and the Colorado Avalanche!) Aside from these, she loves hiking, reading, fitness, and “taking it easy”.
